How much is shipping? TOP
I have changed over to a flate rate of $4.00 USD for all orders US & International due to the constant raising fees by USPS. If you are making a small order please feel free to email me & I will invoice you for your order with the lower shipping. Are all of your products 100% mineral? TOP
No. Evil Shades is not a "mineral" makeup per se. What I mean by that is that I do not limit to mineral mica's, I do use some synthetic mica, silicon's, lake colors etc. Most products are mineral but please check the ingredients list or email if you are unsure. Why don't you use heat shrink wrap on your products? TOP
There are a few reasons that I do not (at this time) use shrink bands.
-First, the purpose of the shrink (safety) bands is to ensure product safety, in that once the final product is filled no one contaminates (opens 7 touches) the product until it reaches the purchaser. I am the ONLY person from beginning to end to ever touch any of my products, therefore there is no reason for security measures.
-Next is cost, I do my best to keep evil Shades affordable to everyone. I just cannot add one more cost (those are added to the price) that I honestly feel is an unnecessary waste of plastic.
-Last: adding one more non biodegradable piece of plastic into the landfills is something I can't in good conscience do unless and until I feel it is needed to ensure the integrity of products and the safety of my customers. Why did you switch to clamshells for samples? TOP
I switched for 2 reasons:
1) I have nerve damage and arthritis in my hands and filling thousands of those little zip bags is beyond painful.
2) Clamshells are reusable/recyclable and every little bit helps Do you do Custom colors? TOP
Yes I do! I am happy to create a custom color or product. A few I even fell in love with and made part of a collection or a core shade. However due to past experiences if you are wanting multiple shades or are wanting more than a couple of jars I do require a deposit of 50% due the amount of product used to create custom collections. Thank you. How do you come up with your product/color names? TOP
From everywhere. Some are from mythology, legends and others are from foreign languages or cultural stories. I get the ideas from everywhere and suggestions are welcome. I also suggest Googling the names....you should never stop learning! Do you repackage or sell straight mica? Private label? TOP
Not ever! I started this company as my own creative outlet and that will likely never change. I never repackage or use private label products. Every product is 100% my creation from the formula to the finished product! I make my own Bases, formula's etc, no pre made bases, purchased and remixed...NEVER, EVER! That would take all the fun out of my work anyway! Do you sponsor bloggers/youtubers? TOP
No I do not. I feel that Evil Shades should stand on it's own and I prefer honest unbiased reviews and by sponsoring it feels like I am buying a review. I do send gifts out occasionally as thank you's to special bloggers/Youtubers and customers because you all make this worth doing. Instead I have a review set that I offer to all youtube/bloggers at a below cost price because I know it can get costly for you as well. Are your products all natural? Vegan? TOP
No on both counts.
It's pretty rare to find even mineral makeup that is 100% natural and still has more that a handful off colors. I do use as many natural ingredients as possible and I research any and all chemical ingredients to be sure I am offering the safest product I can.
Most of my products are Vegan however some do contain Carmine and are noted as not vegan because I respect those who choose to live vegan. |
